Three men, Ibrahim Salim, Aliyu Abdulahi and Ibrahim Alhanssan, were on Monday in an Ebute Metta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly breaking into a house and robbing its occupant.
The accused: Salim, 24; Abdulahi, 28; Alhanssan, 44, are facing two-count charge of conspiracy and robbery.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Kehinde Olatunde, said that the accused committed the offence on June 28, about 2.50 a.m, at No. 9, Babalola St., Mushin.
He told the court that the accused broke into the home of Mrs Adetutu Onitiri and robbed her of her belongings, valued at N2 million.
The prosecutor also said the accused, armed with dangerous weapons, robbed Onitiri of her gold, 200 US dollars, four handsets, a plasma television and N120, 000 cash.
He said the offence contravened Sections 297 and 299 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The three accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs A.O. Komolafe, adjourned ruling on the bail application of the accused till Oct. 26.
