Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has acknowledged the support from the Chinese government to the administration, especially in the areas of education, public utilities, such as the physical construction of schools and transportation.
Speaking when he received a delegation of China Shandong Auto Parts Chamber of Commerce, who is on a trade and investment visit to Abuja, Bello reiterated the commitment of the FCT Administration to creating an enabling environment for both foreign and local investors, because of their potentials to bolster the economy and create job opportunities.
The minister maintained that the visit would initiate a lasting, fruitful and mutually beneficial relationship between the FCT and the China Shandong Chambers of Commerce.
Earlier in his remarks, the president, China Shandong Auto Parts Chamber of Commerce, and leader of the delegation, Zhou LiPing, stated that China had a large market of auto parts and looks forward to partnering with Nigeria, particularly the FCT, to bring their products and services closer to the end-users.
Liping said that his organisation has already acquired a space in Lagos for a large warehouse, adding that their interest and next destination is in the Federal Capital territory (FCT).
He projected that the volume of investment the group intends to bring to the territory would create about 10,000 jobs, adding that the group plans to build factories where they would be producing the auto parts in the next five years.
