The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate in Niger state, Umar Mohammed Nasko has presented his running mate, Barr Muhammad Ndayako to the party at the weekend and named campaign committee.

Chairman of the party, Tanko Beji who said that the party primaries was peaceful without any petition before the appeal committee urged party members to sustain the unity enjoyed thus far.

While reassuring the members of commitment for the success of the party in the forthcoming elections , the leader of the party and former Governor, Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu said that the party is lucky this time around over the conduct of peaceful primaries as against 2015.

Aliyu debunked the rumour in some quarters of replacing Nasko as the candidate of the party, saying that the citizens had suffered enough in the last three years in the state and have realized the difference in terms of infrastructural development, welfare and security of the people .

He therefore urged party members wishing to return to do so without delay so as to rescue the state and Nigeria together in the interest of all.

Nasko in his remarks applauded the party executives and leaders for the peaceful primary where he emerged, noting that there was no victor no vanquished hence it will be a collective victory in 2019 polls.

He urged party members to be calm, patient and avoid crisis during their campaigns ahead of the 2019 election as it is only through peace that success could be achieved .

Meanwhile, the campaign team has Abdullahi Kpotun as Director General (DG), Ndako Idris Kpaki , deputy DG, Garba Abubakar, Youth mobilizer, Mrs Deborah Salau, Women mobiliser, Kadi A Kuta ,non formal sector, Yahaya Baba, Director media and communique while Yahuza Passi is the Director, advance party.

The chairman of the party said the campaign advisory committee comprises of the State party chairman and Secretary as well as zonal chairmen and Secretaries, all senatorial candidates, all former speakers and former party chairmen, as well as the former governors and deputies are members.
