Following another violence that erupted in some parts of Kaduna metropolis and environs on Sunday, the Kaduna State gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru and the Minority Whip of the House of Representative, Hon. Yakubu Umar Barde have both called on the people of Kaduna State to eschew violence and embrace peace.
The lawmakers also expressed concern over the deterioration of security in the state which resulted in the imposition of a 24-hour curfew on the Kaduna metropolis and environs by the Kaduna State government.
In separate releases, both Hon. Ashiru and the minority Whip described as unfortunate the tension and panic in the state which are all fall-outs of the recent violence in Kasuwar Magani in Kajuru local government area of the state.
The PDP gubernatorial candidate, however, appealed to the people of Kaduna State especially those in the affected areas to eschew rumour-mongering and other acts capable of aggravating the situation so that normalcy and peace can once again, reign supreme in the state.
They commended law-enforcement agents and the military personnel who stopped the possible escalation of the crisis and urged them to continue to maintain law and order in all parts of Kaduna State.
