Thousands of youths in Langtang North local government council yesterday shut down the council secretariat protesting the announcement of APC Nanloh Amos Kparnim who was declared winner of the local government election by PLASIEC. The youth in their thousands stormed the secretariat insisting that the winner of the council election under the platform of PDP Hon. Ubandoma Joshua Laven should be declared the winner of the election by PLASIEC They called on the state governor, Simon Lalong to as a matter of fact and urgency do the needful by ensuring that Ubandoma is declared winner and as well as perform his swearing in ceremony with immediate effect to allowed peace to reign in the area, according to the leader of the group, Nash Selcap who spoke to our correspondent.
Meanwhile, the PDP’s alleged winner in the just concluded Langtang North local government council election Hon. Ubandoma Joshua Laven has vow to do everything humanly possible within the ambit of the law to ensure he recover his stolen mandate which the people gave him in a free, fair and peaceful conducted LGC election. He pointed out that it is very disheartening to note that the mandate given to him by the good people of Langtang North was brazenly subverted as the chairmanship candidate of the APC Nanloh Amos Kparnim, was declared as the winner of the election by PLASIEC. The PDP chairmanship candidate made his position known in a press statement issued to newsmen in Jos argued that it is regrettable that governor Simon Lalong who is a direct beneficiary of a free and fair democratic process in 2015 decided to ignore the court injunction of the Federal High Court in Jos, restraining him from swearing in the loser and engaged himself in an ambiguous adventure.
