NIPOST Promotes Art Of Writing Through Competition Among Students

The zonal manager, Nigerian Postal Service,  Abuja zone,  Mr. Austine Iroamachi has said NIPOST in Jos, Pankshin and Shendam districts have intensified campaign for letter writting competition so as to enable enlightenment and awareness among students.

He made the disclosure  at the special ceremony for the presentation of prices to winners of the letter writing competition and recognition of stakeholders in the education sector in Plateau state at the conference Hall of the federal Secretariat,Jos, the state capital.

According to him,21,500  entries were received from schools across the state.

The district Postal Manager in Jos, Mrs. Saratu Joshua Nggada said letter writing competition has come to stay in Plateau State with the increasing number of students participating in the exercise.

She added  that one day they will reach 100  percent where the junior students will be separated from the senior ones,  noting that the art of writting  has been with the creation of man.

According to her writting develops the mind and enable you put your thoughts expression and ideas on paper which can be appreciated by another while the spirit of competition is injected them at the early stage.

She pointed out that NIPOST has developed to a one stop shop where every kind of business can be obtained and done on the counter, stressing that they have introduced  POS points of sale, mobile money, net banking, cargoes and percel/EMS.

“A young lady was appreciated during our world post day for patronizing parcel EMS to the sum of 1.5 Million Naira  in a year. A true Nigerian .Let us  patronise our own agents. NIPOST have the network of coverage. We have track and truce products where you can trace the movement  of your register Iterms on line.”
