DPP Cautions Nigerians Against Bad Leaders

Democratic People Party (DPP) has cautioned Nigerian electorates against electing bad leaders in 2019 general elections.

The national chairman of the party, Benson Garshon made the call while addressing newsmen in Abuja, yesterday.

He said, “The issue of vote or PVC  buying in Osun State was reduced as against what happened in Ekiti State, so all of us should work towards it and is now left for us to tell people that election is not garbage in and garbage out.

“If you vote good people, you vote good government. If you vote bad people, everyone will suffer for the next four years and if you allow them to rig the election, all of us will suffer it.”

Reacting to questions about President Muhammadu  Buhari’s certificate saga, he said, “The election Mr. President won, was about the fourth time he contested the elections and he was cleared by same electoral body and that section of the constitution has not been changed. Mr. President contested four times and he won the last one and that section of the constitution has not been changed, same electoral body is still here and the constitution has not been changed.

“If you go to the section of the constitution that say, the basic qualification for you to be candidate for any position at all, if you read it very well, that part of the constitution stated that the minimum qualification is first school certificate upward.”
