Over 5,000 PDP Supporters Defect To APC In Kebbi

Over 5000  PDP members of the political support group as well as campaign group of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Kwankwasiya Group have re-aligned  themselves with All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State.The Kwankwasiya members in their thousands wearing their red caps were received by the deputy governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Samaila Yombe Dabai at the APC Secretariat, Birnin-Kebbi yesterday.

Speaking on behalf of the decampees,  the organising secretary of the group, Abdullahi Abubakar Nayalwa noted that they took the decision based on the political development in the country and landmark achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari and governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu’s giant strides in agriculture.

“We have finally dump PDP because APC is the only government that can bring change and unity in the country, Atiku Abubakar cannot defeat Buhari in the next election.

“We have gone to the market and the market was not favourable. We decided to returned home, with over 5,000 of our members and more are still coming by God’s grace.”

While receiving the decampees at the state APC headquarters in Birnin kebbi, the state deputy governor, Alhaji Samaila Yombe Dabai commended them for taking what he described as  ‘good political decision’ to reallied with APC in the state. He assured them of fair and equal treatment in the party.

The deputy governor also described their returned to APC as timely in the right direction.

It will be recalled that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano State who is the leader of the political group dumped the APC to join PDP where he contested and lost the Presidential primary election under the platform of PDP .
