The Senate was on Wednesday engulfed in minor committee reshuffle and changed some chairmen of standing committees.
Senate President Bukola Saraki yesterday announced Senator Lawal Gumau (APC-Bauchi), who was elected into the Senate in August, 2018, to replace the deceased Senator Ali wakili, as the Chairman of the Committee on Federal Character.
Gumau took over from Senator Tijani Kaura (APC-Zamfara North), who was appointed to head the Committee on Police Affairs.
Kaura replaced Senator Abu Ibrahim (APC-Katsina South), who is now the chairman, Committee on Employment, Labour and Productivity.
The former Majority Leader, Senator Ali Ndume (APC-Borno South), is now the chairman, Committee on Establishment and Public Service, formerly headed by Senator Paulker Emmanuel (PDP-Bayelsa Centra).
While Emmanuel Paulker got elevated to the status of principal officer, when he was appointed to the office of deputy minority whip.
