The Executive Director, Hope Builders International Consult, Rev. Mathias Yashim has said that the promotion of art, culture and creativity amongst the young population will help to grow the economy of the country.
Yashim disclosed this during the 2018 Career Day inter-schools competition in Kaduna.

According to him, the career day was a working space for exchange of ideas and creating of innovations together led by young people.
He said, “We want to capture young people at these stages of life and sell them a life full of productive impact.
“Our integral approach to youth empowerment recognizes the multi-dimensional nature of the development needs of young people, hence we seek to address the personal, social and the economic need of our people in a highly synchronized way.”
He further urged the governments at all levels to revamp the section, adding that the objectives of the skills development is to be familiar with state-of-the-art thinking about farmer entrepreneurship, farmers’ organisations and inclusive value chain development.
Speaking on the number of the participating schools, Yashim said 45 schools signed up for the competition, while only few of them eventually participated due to the crisis.
Earlier, the Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Ekene Adams lauded the initiative of the organiser for coming up with such a laudable idea, saying it is a means to give the students a sense of individual and community responsibilities.
While calling on the government to invest more in the educational section, he said, “with proper education, I can see the future in our youth.”
