The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) said is working towards reconciling all aggrieved aspirants of the last primary election, to ensure unity and peaceful coexistence of members in the territory.
A statement signed by the party’s secretary, Hashimu Angama, which was made available to LEADERSHIP, described members of the party as a family, who are bent on fighting against corruption and ensuring credibility within and outside the party.
Angama noted that despite some hitches which characterised the last primaries, the party would never forget the dedication and loyalty of all members who stood and fought during challenging periods.
He appealed to all aggrieved members to be patient with the party and to cooperate with the reconciliation committee, setup to look into all areas of discord.
While reacting to comments by some politicians on tribalism and religious sentiments, Angama explained that capable party members have been given opportunities to serve in executive positions .
“Members should know that all necessary machineries that will engage and correct the lapses in the party have been put in place with a directive from the secretariat to the reconciliation committee set-up by the party leadership in FCT to bring positive result on reconciling aggrieved members,” he said.
The state secretary further advised that FCT youths to take advantage of the anti-corruption war of the present administration to build their future on credibility, accountability and justice for all, which President Muhammadu Buhari and the AMAC chairman, Hon Abdullahi Adamu Candido stand for.
