A three-day summit on cancer data will hold between December 10 and 13, 2018 at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Conference Centre, Abuja.
Organised by the Medicaid Cancer Foundation (MCF), the summit is aimed at developing a strategic framework for improving cancer data in Nigeria.
It also designed to stimulate stakeholders and policymakers to formulate policies to improve cancer survivorship.
Medicaid Cancer Foundation is the brainchild of the wife of Kebbi State governor, Dr. Zainab Bagudu, which she uses to campaign for a cancer-free Nigeria and provide medical assistance to cancer patients in the country.
In a statement it issued yesterday, the secretariat of the foundation said that the key speakers included Professor Michel Coleman from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) the United Kingdom.
Coleman has been a professor of epidemiology and vital statistics at the LSHTM since 1995.
Other keynote speakers are representatives of the Nigerian National System of Cancer Registries (NSCR) of the Federal Ministry of Health.
