Worried by the chronic pain often burdened by Celebral Palsy Patients, the wife of the Kogi state governor, Barrister Anina Oyiza Bello is partnering with ONE Ummah Foundation to raise hope for the victims.
Oyiza, who spoke yesterday in Abuja while receiving ONE Ummah at her foundation office said they will not allow the challenge of the patients to limit their dreams.
She noted that Hayat foundation was founded to cater for children with Celebral Palsy and other special needs, adding that she was inspired to set up the foundation after seeing her first son, Hayatula Olaruze Bello born a special child upon discovery that he has Celebral Palsy.
While urging others to key into helping the needy, she said “it is not just about us as people in position of authority, it is not just about us and an organization. I think it is the duty of every Nigerian to reach out to our brothers and sisters in Borno state and Adamawa because the experience with Boko Haram has taught us that you cannot say what is affecting any part of Nigeria negatively may not have direct impact on those of us outside.
“So if by the grace of God we are able to attain a reasonable amount of Peace and stability, I think it is our duty to also reach out and support efforts of government, both individually as well as organisations.”
