Adamawa State Governor, Sen Mohammed Umar Jibrilla, joins millions of football-loving Nigerians to felicitate and commend the the Super Eagles of Nigeria who booked a place to the African Cup Of Nations billed for Cameroon in 2019.
The governor who said the boys were able to put up a scintillating performance against an equally high-spirited opponent, Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
In a statement signed by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the governor, Macauley Hunohashi, the Governor noted that, “even though the Super Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw in Jorhanesbourg on Saturday, i am ecstatic with their level of performance, commitment to duty, doggedness and patriotic zeal. And these are the kind of attributes that places a nation on a higher development pedestal”, he said.
He emphasised that the victory by the 3-time African Champions is for President Muhammadu Buhari and football-loving fans of Nigeria.
Sen Jibrilla further commended the technical crew, Executive members and staff of NFF, major stakeholders, football fans and the media for their various roles in ensuring the well-deserved victory.
He however expressed optimism that the Super Eagles will not be going to the Continental showpiece, in 2019, to just make up the number but to make impressive impact for Nigerians
