Former President Olosegun Obasanjo will today commission the 1,500 seat capacity International Conference Center built by the governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal led administration, Prof Bashir Garba has said.
Prof Bashir who is the secretary to the State Government (SSG) made the disclosure while declaring open the 18th Annual General Meeting of the National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO).
According to him, Sokoto State will continue to be cherished by all for its hospitality, peace and respect for all and sundry irrespective of religious background, political affiliations and ethnicity.
Speaking on behalf of governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the SSG commended the valuable contributions of NARTO to the nation’s economic stability, adding that they are no doubt critical stakeholders.
Tambuwal further assured the association of his administrations readiness to partner with them at all times.
Earlier, NARTO executive secretary, Mr Aloga Ignatius Ogbogo appealed to the federal government to urgently fix the Nigerian roads, adding that, doing so will no doubt further boost the ease of doing business in the country.
