Katsina Sate governor, Aminu Bello Masari, has declared that the recent agitations for restructuring of Nigeria were inspired by quest for resource control, stressing that such agitators may be surprised over the turn of events in the nation.
Masari stated this when former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Engr. Musa Nashuni, led a delegation of the forum of former chairmen, vice-chairmen and councilors on the platform of the PDP on a courtesy call on him at Government House Katsina.
He explained the need for all stakeholders in Katsina to work together harmoniously for the state to compete favourably with others in education and agricultural development.
The governor expressed confidence that the feat could only be achieved if politicians in the state closed ranks, pledging that his administration would continue to inject massive funds into education and agricultural sectors.
He assured that the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration would revolutionalise both farming and livestock production to get the state out of the poverty index in the federation.
He also promised to carry along all groups in charting the way forward to where the state hopes to be before the turning of this century.
Earlier, Engr. Musa Nashuni, who was Masari’s closest rival in 2015 governorship election and PDP chieftain until his defection to the APC last month, told the governor that his coordinators and supporters would work for the victory of the ruling party in 2019 general elections.
