Ebony Life Films Chief Daddy Premieres Soon

Ebony Life Films is back with another dramedy, Chief Daddy, which x-rays the vain and opulence display amongst Nigeria’s elite. The movie is set to premiere soon and released to cinemas on December 14.

Chief Daddy tells the story of billionaire industrialist, Chief Akinwale Beecroft, a flamboyant benefactor to a large extended family of relatives, household staff and assorted mistresses. Chief lived large, until his sudden death, which puts a stop to the ‘bullion van. What is in his will and who gets all that wealth?

The movie is written by Bose Asinyanbi and directed by the award-winning Niyi Akinmolayan, with Mo Abudu and Queen Martins as the executive and the co-producer.

At the media screening held at the Film House, Twin Waters in Lekki, Lagos. Abudu says the movie is “rich in morals and imparts the need to tread carefully, and make impact in our lifetime and avoid being too extravagant in our life’s endeavours. It is a movie everyone will identify with and shows the beauty of Nigeria’s cultures as all my movies espouse,” Abudu says.

Parading an all-star cast, it features Linda Ejiofor as Chief Daddy’s unofficial PA with the secret key to his affection; Shaffy Bello as hidden second wife ready to take her rightful place, and Ini Edo in the role of the mistress and secret baby mama, intent on securing her cash flow.

Other cast members include: Joke Silva, Rachael Oniga, Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor, Zainab Balogun, Kate Henshaw, Dakore Egbuson, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana, MI, Beverly Naya, Uti Nwachukwu, Mawuli Gavor, Chioma ‘chigurl’ Omeruah, Taiwo Obileye, Lepacious Bose, Nedu, and Ayo Lijadu.
