Obaseki, Scientists, To Brainstorm Over Spate of Insecurity In Nigeria

As part of efforts in tackling the growing rate of criminal activities in Nigeria, Governor Godwin Obaseki is billed to declare the first ever scientific conference on combating crime in Nigeria open in Benin City, Edo State Capital.

According to a statement by the organizers, Prof Edeaghe Ehikhamenor of the (Forensic Research and Development Centre, FORDEC) with the theme “Combating Crime in Nigeria: Forensic Science to the rescue” will also attract academic egg heads and other stakeholders.

Among those expected at the conference includes, Dr. Richard Somiari, Chief Executive Officer Lagos state forensic and DNA Centre.

Others includes, Chief Judge of Edo state, Esohe Ikponwen, Commissioner for Science and Technology , Dr Christopher Adesotu, Edo state Police Commissioner, Johnson Kokumo among others.
