Governor Umaru Tanko Almakura, has inaugurated the APC campaign team, with the charge on them to work harder towards the victory of Abdullahi Sule, President Buhari and all APC aspirants in the state.
The inauguration of the 58 member team took place at the Government House Lafia, on Saturday.
It would be recalled that Nasarawa APC recently constituted the campaign team which has the governor as BoT chairman, while the secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Mohammed, is the secretary.
The Campaign Directorate has Hon. Ahmad Wadada, as chairman, with Senator John Danboyi, as the director general (DG), while Hajiya Ramatu Dalhatu, is the secretary.
The board of trustees has 21 members, while the Campaign Directorate, has 37 members.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Al-Makura, said members of the campaign team were carefully selected based on their doggedness, faithfulness, commitment, sincerity of purpose and the way they have supported APC.
The governor observed that whatever success the party has attained was not the work of one person or a group of persons, but a joint efforts by the family of APC in Nasarawa State.
He said he cannot stop thanking all aspirants, especially the 10 persons that contested for the governorship, as he called on all party members in the state to emulate them.
Al-Makura, attributed the peace APC was enjoying in the state to the personal sacrifices by these aspirants after the recent party primaries.
He also noted that the emergence of Abdullahi Sule, was due to the efforts of all of them, particularly the aspirants who contested with him.
Delivering a goodwill message, one of the governorship aspirants, Danladi Halilu Envulanza, appreciated the governor for his efforts aimed at peace building, as he expressed confidence that the party will win all the elections in 2019.
Also speaking, the state APC chairman, Philip Tatari Shekwo, disclosed how proud they were of the governor and the APC in the state for having peace after such heated primary elections.
Shekwo, gave Kudos to the governor for his leadership qualities that gave him recognition by APC national exco.
