Nigeria’s leading provider of identity management and intelligent business solutions, Chams Plc has appointed Alhaji Y.A Modibbo as a non-executive director to the company’s board.
A statement made available to LEADERSHIP signed by the group managing director, Chams Plc, Mr Femi Williams urged Modibbo to use his wide international management experience in developed and emerging markets in his new position.
Williams said Modibbo has over 16 years of active banking experience.
LEADERSHIP gathered that Modibbo rose to the position of assistant general manager at Stanbic Bank Nigeria Limited before leaving the banking industry.
Williams said Modibbo joined Tiddo Securities Limited in 2001 as managing director. He was a director of the Central Securities Clearing System Limited a subsidiary of the Nigerian Stock Exchange from 2001 to 2007 and was a council member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) for three years.
He is a member of the council of Abuja Securities and Commodity Exchange Plc. His career spans banking investment and securities.
Announcing the appointment Williams said, “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Alhaji Modibbo to the board.
“His wide international management experience in developed and emerging markets, as well as his deep understanding of the Nigerian economy and keen interest in sustainable development will be extremely valuable to our board, as we continue to broaden our capabilities,” he added.
