Groups To Honour Mrs Buhari

The 2019 Project Grassroots Mobilisation Centre in conjunction with an International non-governmental organisation would be honouring, Wife of the President, Dr Aisha Buhari for her role in protecting girl-child rights in Nigeria.

According to a statement jointly signed by the event and programme mobilisation coordinators, Dr. Abba Aliyu Maina and Hon. John Halims, the event would hold next month in Lagos and would also witness over 3,000 Nigerian girls in different sporting activities.

The statement further said, “The event is carefully planned in honour of Her Excellency, Dr Aisha Buhari in appreciation of her numerous motherly devotion to the care of Nigerian girls and various sacrifices in promoting girl child rights protection and education throughout Nigeria.

“The Championship will feature avalanche of sports festivities which includes swimming, women football and other sporting events and will be capped with a glamorous Red Carpet and Awards Night, specifically to honour Her Excellency Dr Aisha  Muhammadu Buhari as Nigeria’s Golden Mother.”

Also, a selection of outstanding Wives of Governors of different states and distinguished Nigerian philanthropists would also be decorated with outstanding performance awards for their contributions in girl child development and nation building.

Expected dignitaries to grace the occasion are Wives of the State Governors and FCT as Guests of Honour, with the wife of the governor of Lagos State, Mrs Bolanle Ambode as the Mother of the occasion.

Also, APC national leader, Ahmed Bola Tinubu would be the father of the day, while Senator Binta Masi Garba is the chairperson of the Implementation Committee.
