Son Hacks Father To Death In Enugu

A 25-year-old boy identified as Nwachukwu Osita Chibuike, has been arrested by police operatives for hacking his father, Osita Nwachukwu, 60 years, to death.

A statement from the spokesman, Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the ugly development, adding that the suspect has been arrested.

He disclosed that the suspect killed his father at the early hours of yesterday, with a machete, adding that he is helping the police in their investigations.

“The alleged incident, which has thrown the community into a state of mourning, took place yesterday, at about 5.30 am at Enuguagu Amuri in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.

“The suspect has been nabbed and he is currently helping the operatives in full scale investigations, which have commenced. Meanwhile, the dead body of the deceased has been deposited in a nearby hospital mortuary for autopsy.”
