Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido has announced some changes in his cabinet.
In a statement signed by the council’s head of information/public relations, Mrs. Patience Olaloye, which was made available to LEADERSHIP yesterday explained that the former chief press secretary (CPS), Chief Dayo Lawal is now the senior special assistant on media and public relations, to the AMAC chairman.
Also, the former special assistant on ICT and media, Comrade Jibrin Babangoshi, is now the chief press secretary (CPS) to the chairman, while the former supervising councillor for agriculture, Mohammed Dan’Azumi, is now the special adviser, political and strategy, just as the former special adviser, political and strategy, Francis Yakubu, is now the special assistant to the AMAC chairman on ICT and civil society.
Other new appointments include, a former special assistant on women affairs, Hajiya Hadiza Dinatu Saleh, who is now the special assistant on revenue generation and monitoring, former special assistant on revenue generation and monitoring, Hajiya Binta Dahiru, now the special assistant women affairs, while Mr. Lukwoyi Dakulu Justice is now the supervising councillor for agriculture and natural resources.
Olaloye who maintained that the cabinet reshuffle is with immediate effect, explained that the exercise was made in order to bring in new experiences as the council prepares for the next chapter.
