A youth group, Keffi Youth Coalition Forum, yesterday organised a grand reception to honour the hard work and humanitarian efforts of the director of Finance and Accounts Department, Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, Dr Samson Adegoke, towards developing the centre and the entire Keffi community.

The reception, which was held in Keffi, Nasarawa State, was chaired by the former governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

While congratulating the celebrant, Dr Adegoke, for his many years of meritorious service, Senator Adamu stated that he is a man whose passion and lifestyle are to be emulated by all.

“Dr Adegoke is a man who has served Keffi local government, the state and the entire nation passionately with his whole heart and he is someone to be emulated.

“Even though, he has reached the retirement age, because of his efficiency, diligence and ability, the government decided to extend his tenure as director of Finance, FMC, Keffi, for another two years on contract basis.

“I want to charge him to continue the good work because throughout when I was governor, even till now, his name has never been mentioned for the wrong reasons but for the right ones.”

While appreciating the forum for deeming it fit to honour him, the celebrant, Dr Adegoke, said that Keffi community, has been known to be peaceful and so the youths should remain nonviolent.

“I want to appreciate God and the Forum for deeming it fit to honour me and I would also like to appreciate our father, the Emir of Keffi, HRH Alh Shehu Yamusa III, for his support and effort in keeping Keffi peaceful.

“I would like to charge the youths to remain nonviolent and peaceful as the elections draws nearer, they can be persistent, because a lot of them need employment but let’s keep the peace, no matter what.”
