Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is expected to declare open the National Peace and Unity Conference scheduled to hold December 5-7, 2018 at the women development centre, Abuja.
The conference themed: “Best Practice in Peace Building, Crisis Management and Youth Empowerment in a Democratic Dispensation” which is in line with article 16 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which seeks to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and builds effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
The office of the senior special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in conjunction with MOBZENOX Enterprises have therefore, called on executive governors, distinguished senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, members of the house of representatives and other critical stakeholders to support the planned conference.
In a release issued yesterday signed by the conference coordinator, Moshood Bankole, the organisers stated that the objective of the conference among other things is to equip Nigerians in leadership building mechanism so as to prepare them mentally, morally and physically for their future leadership roles, to provide a platform for “a discussion of Nigeria’s various ethical, economic, social, religious and political problems and agree on strategies to address them and finally to generally prepare participants for a future that is more peaceful.
