The Atiku Votes Protection Vanguards (AVPV), a political pressure group championing the cause of the former Vice president and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar said yesterday that their structures in the 774 local governments will protect his votes.
Speaking at a press conference, the National leader of the group, Barr Peter Dauda said they are out solely for the purpose of gravitating Atiku to victory in the forth-coming presidential election in 2019.
“Our membership cuts across a wide array of professionals and non professionals, laymen, artisans but with very deep roots in grassroots politics,” Dauda said, adding that they are capable of mobilizing support from every part of the country.
“We are calling on the youths to cast their vote peacefully, protect the votes and guide them to the collation centres”.
auda said while calling on all Nigerians to support Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
“The reasons to vote Atiku are numerous,” Dauda disclosed insisting that the group will never compromise.
“We are made up of people with integrity. Our activities started since the days of United Nigeria Congress Party. We have a lot of network of structures spread across the country. Our strategy is to go down the polling units and protest the votes,” Ayuba added.
On why Nigerians should vote for Atiku, Dauda said Atiku’s pedigree that led to the development of thousands of people.
“As a man with chain of businesses, an administrator per-excellence, Atiku will take Nigerians to a greater high,” Ayuba added.
