Staff of the National Assembly has shut down the entire complex of the National Assembly, paralyzing both legislative and administrative activities over unpaid salaries and allowances.
The workers, under the auspices of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), had earlier issued a threat to literally put the National Assembly under lock and key between December 4 and 8, 2018, if their demand are not meant.
The workers were armed with placards bearing several inscriptions that justified their unhappiness over the unpaid salaries and allowances.
