Arsenal’s Unbeaten Run Faces Man Utd Test At Old Trafford

Arsenal take their impressive unbeaten run to Old Trafford this week, fresh off the back of their north London derby victory over Tottenham

Unai Emery’s side are unbeaten in 19 games across all competitions and take on a Man Utd side which continue to stutter.

Jose Mourinho’s side clawed back from two-goals down to draw with Southampton 2-2 on Saturday night, and while they hold the upper hand in terms or head-to-head meetings with Arsenal, the Gunners will be feeling confident ahead of this one.

Jose Mourinho has been forced to climb down from his prediction Manchester United would end the year in the top four.

Ahead of today’s game against Arsenal, the Man Utd manager admits his target of moving into the Champions League places may now be beyond his side before 2019.

But Mourinho is adamant it will not take a miracle to secure a top four finish, despite his comments during an interview with Brazilian TV over the weekend.

Arsenal head coach has revealed Mesut Ozil is a doubt for Wednesday’s trip to Manchester United as he continues to struggle with a back injury.

The 30-year-old missed yesterday’s north London derby win over Tottenham due to back spasms but returned to London Colney this morning, training is isolation as those players involved against Spurs went through a light recovery session.

And Emery said today at a press conference ahead of their match against United: “Today he was working alone, I don’t know if he’s OK for Wednesday. I said yesterday he’s had backache since last Tuesday. He couldn’t play in Kiev or yesterday. At the moment, I don’t know if he can play in Manchester.”
