The FCT minister, Muhammad Bello has urged both private and public sector organisations to accept all corps members posted to them by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as a mark of patriotism and support for the nation.

He made this known at the closing ceremony of the orientation course for the 2018 batch ‘C’ stream II corps members in Abuja.

The minister, who was represented by the director, Finance and Administration, FCT Social Development Secretariat, Mrs. Safiya Umar, stated that the FCT Administration remains a dependable partner and will continue to mobilise constructive synergy for a seamless operation of the NYSC scheme within the Federal Capital Territory.

“We are committed, resolute and desirous to support this corporate strategy towards accelerated socio-economic development of Nigeria. The FCT and NYSC are twin brothers and reciprocal symbols of our national unity and integration. It is the spark for a heightened understanding, well-articulated advancement and unconditional acceptance of our socio-cultural, political, religious mixes and diversities by every Nigerian,” he added.

Similarly, the FCT coordinator, NYSC, Ballama Bello, advised corps members to settle down fast and break out of their comfort zones into a world of ingenuity where creativity and self-reliance reigns.
