The director general of Donald Duke campaign organization, Professor Iorwuese Hagher has resigned.
The former Nigerian ambassador revealed this in Abuja yesterday after bagging African Youths For Peace Assembly (AYPA) award as icon of peace and social transformation.
According to him, the reason for his resignation was personal. “I have taken my decision as of today, I have resigned from being the director general of Donald Duke campaign organization for personal reasons.”
Hagher further noted that having witnessed how the primaries went “ it is important that we go against vote buying”, adding that whoever is buying the vote has no intention to provide justice or cater for the people.
On the award, he commended the AYPA for finding him worthy to be honoured with the award and charged the youths to take up responsibility and rescue the country from calamity where the country is creating words richest people and producing most number of the poor.
On his part, the head of mission, AYPA, Sadiq Agboola said the award was bestowed on the icon for his unprecedented impact and inputs recorded in the development of Nigeria and the African continent and for adding value to the power sector, youth empowerment to astute patriotism, true Federalism, National development and integration.
