A political support group under the aegis of Dankwambo Ambassadors has called on the governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, to vie for the presidency of the country come 2019 so that he will replicate his transformation of Gombe State to the country.
The national coordinator of the Group, Comrade Kenneth Emeka Chima, in a press statement made available to news men in Abuja, said that the presidency being the most important office in the country should be occupied by the best brain with uprightness.
He said that Ibrahim Dankwambo has shown capability in the civil service, and now in politics and as a governor of Gombe state.
“As a support group, we have undergone a process of choosing Ibrahim Dankwambo as the preferred presidential candidate from the North East sub region through detailed and rigorous procedure.
“The North East has never produced a president, so this time around we choose governor Ibrahim Dankwambo to be the next president come 2019 due to his track record in civil service.”
The group stated that the group’s support for Dankwambo was predicated upon the fact that Nigeria of today is crying and begging for redemption and only a man with great innovative ideas, credible, young and proactive can salvage the pathetic situation of our dear nation.
Chima further noted that Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo is the man who possesses those qualities desirous of a man to lead to nation. “No doubt, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo remains the Cure of Nigeria.”
The Group had identified those qualities in Ibrahim Dankwambo who had over the years remained the pillar of the civil service, detribalised leader, a technocrat with a proven track record in financial management and the governor who has transformed his state to a mega state.
