Rising Star Osaka Makes a Remarkable Comeback in Australian Open

Published

on

Champion Naomi Osaka performed poorly and was down with a 4 – 1 in the second set. This however was almost dashing her dreams of becoming the first Japanese star to win a back to back grand slam. Serena Williams has had a record breaking performance to claim the Us Open, Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon in 2015.

Osaka had to achieve her dreams of a comeback as she capitalized on the error of her opponent, Hsieh in the intense encounter at the Margaret Court Arena. Osaka cleaned up four games at the close of the set.

Osaka in her manner of composure, went off rid when she threw her racquet at the end of the set. This misconduct earned her a rude violation for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Osaka never reached the Australian Open Quarter finals but did this time with a total of 102 against Hsieh’s 89 points.

She will be playing Anastasia Sevastova who won all sets against Wang Qiang to advance to the round of 16
