We Will Ensure Credible, Free, Fair Election – Ganduje



Kano state governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje has said that the state government will do everything possible to ensure that the forthcoming election is conducted under a peaceful atmosphere devoid of any violence or clash among party loyalists.

Ganduje stated this while receiving a delegation of the Savannah Centre led by its founder and chairman, Prof Ibrahim Gambari.

The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Dr Nasiru Gawuna, assured the centre that his administration is committed to collaborate with responsible non-governmental organizations that promote peaceful and credible elections.

He further hinted that in order to reduce the ratio of unemployment among teeming youths in the state, the present administration embarked on various empowerment programmes aimed at making them self-reliant.

Ganduje, maintained that his administration will continue to give more priority to human development as it will assist in ensuring a violence-free and peaceful elections.

He commended the founder of the Centre for his foresight and service to humanity and the nation.In his remarks, Prof Gambari said they were at government house to intimate the governor on their activities and to solicit his blessings, support and guidance.

Prof Gambari, however, noted that the centre was established five years ago, with a view to ensuring peaceful and credible elections, as well as preaching good governance nationwide.

He commended Ganduje’s administration for it’s strong support for violence-free elections in the state.
