NPFL: Remo Stars, MFM Lock Horns In South-west Derby

Remo Stars FC and Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) FC  will lock horns in a South-west derby in one of the matchday 6 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) fixtures at the Osogbo Township Stadium, today.

While MFM are seeking to extend their lead at the top of NPFL Group A table, Coach Kennedy Boboye-led side wants to close gap on the leader and move out of the relegation trouble zone.

The host lost back to back in the ongoing NPFL season against Rivers United FC and another South-west neighbour rival, Sunshine Stars FC.

The MFM are currently topping group A table with nine points from five matches, while Remo Stars are swimming in relegation zone with five points after round of matches in the present NPFL season.

Both sides have met numerous times in all competition but the Olukoya Boys have defeated the Sky Blue Stars 1-0 twice in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in 2017.

A win for the Sky Blue Stars would see them move up the table and pile pressure on the teams ahead of them to keep their hopes alive.
