Army Launches ‘Python Dance’ With Free Medical Outreach

The Nigeria Army 81 Division in Lagos, yesterday, conducted free medical outreach and also distributed books and writing materials to Isawo Community area of Ikorodu in Lagos.

The reason for the exercise was to launch Egwu Eke 111 known as Python Dance of Nigerian 81 Division at Isawo Community hall, Ikorodu.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 81 Division of Nigerian Army, Major General Musa Sanni Yusuf, who officially kick started the free medical outreach in Isawo Town Hall, said that the exercise was different from the civil military cooperation activities exercise presently ongoing for Egwu Eke III called Python Dance in Isawo Community.

He said, “This outreach, which has commenced, is expected to cover host community in 81 Division’s area of responsibility.

“The free medical outreach will feature free consultation, diagnosis and dispensing of medication as well as distribution of free books and writing materials to pupils and students.”

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Tijani Odunla, assistant head teacher, Anglican Primary School, Isawo, Ikorodu, commended the effort of Nigerian Army for the laudable programme to support the growth and development of education in the community.

“We are expressing our appreciation to the entire team for their donation towards assistance of education materials to our pupils and students.

“Nigerian Army really surprised us today in the history of Nigerian forces, we feel a sense of belonging and we are very happy.”
