NBBF Rolls Out 2019 Programmes



The Tijjani Umar-led Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has rolled out its programmes for 2019 with a plan to organise the season opening ‘Stakeholders Consultative Forum’, an avenue where the stakeholders review activities of the previous year as well as discuss other technical matters.

In a press statement released at the end of its one- day consultative meeting held in Abuja over the weekend with a cross section of stakeholders from around the country in attendance, it disclosed that the organisation of a new pre-season men and women’s league, the 2019 Kwese Premier League as well as a revamped and innovative National Women’s League.

According to the statement, the NBBF “will introduce a grassroots-based Talent Development programme to consolidate its nationwide talent hunt in the country”, as well as embark on “an integrated training and development of technical officials to further boost the game in the country.”o make it 2-0 to Rangers.
