The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Rangers International FC of Enugu have expressed deep shock over the death of former Beach Eagles assistant coach, Chukwuma Agbo, who passed on, yesterday.

Reacting to Chukwuma’s death via their various official twitter handles, NFF and the club noted Chukwuma’s impact in Nigeria football and prayed God to grant the family and Nigeria football stakeholders the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.

NFF in its reaction said:”Yet another painful loss! We are sad to hear of the passing of Assistant Coach of our Beach Soccer National team, the Super Sand Eagles, Chukwuma Agbo. Our prayers are with his family at this time.”

Rangers while praying for his eternal rest, observed one minute silence in his honour during the pre-match officials meeting in Enugu ahead of the Flying Antelopes’ Matchday 10 encounter with Wikki Tourists of Bauchi yesterday.

“We in Rangers are saddened by this big loss. May his soul rest in peace.

“A minute silence was observed for the loss of former Rangers coach, Chukwuma Agbo who last coached Delta Force, during Pre-match formalities inside the boardroom of Enugu F.A.”

The late Agbo, who resigned as the head coach of Delta Force in January, led the club to the Nigeria National League, NNL Super 8, where they ended fourth in Group B.
