Oba Akiolu Commends Julius Berger, Miele



A partnership between Julius Berger Abuja Furniture Production (AFP) and home appliances company, Miele on the opening of a showroom has been commended by the Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu I.

The official opening of the showroom to customers at Plot 33, Sanusi Fafunwa Street, Victoria Island, Lagos last weekend, was attended by Oba Akiolu, the Seun of Lagos, Chief Omogbolahun Durosinmi, the Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi Kushenla III, and His Royal Majesty (HRM) Mohammed Adio Yusuf, Oba Onisiwo of Tomaro and Abagbo land

At the event, Oba Akiolu recalled that Julius Berger began its business in Nigeria in the 1960s in Lagos and prayed for the company’s continuing success in its collaboration with Miele.

While Julius Berger AFP is reputed as Nigeria’s award-winning and industry leader in furniture and furnishing design, production and implementation, Miele supplies premium German domestic and professional range of appliances.

Julius Berger’s team to the event was led by the managing director, Dr. Lars Richter, director of Corporate Development, Mr. Tobias Meletschus, the company secretary, Mrs. Cecilia Madueke, the general manager of Julius Berger AFP, Mr. Oliver Cohnen as well as Mr. Marcus Reif and Mr. Uchenna Uzoewulu, graced the occasion.

The managing director of Miele, Mr. Mustapha Olorunimbe and members of the company’s Board of Directors, including Mr. Akim Bolarinwa, attended the ceremony. Cohnen and Olorunimbe said that their celebrated partnership had been implemented to deliver turnkey and excellent satisfaction to their customers.

Cohnen told journalists after the ceremony that “while AFP Furniture, a subsidiary of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, is renowned for making top-of-the-pack home and office furniture, Miele is a German manufacturer of premium domestic and professional range of electrical appliances, known around the globe for sophistication and durability.
