INEC Declares One Constituency Inconclusive As APC Wins 25 of 26 Assembly Seats in Ekiti



The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Constituency 1 in Ekiti East constituency inconclusive.

Although the winner of the Ekiti East Constituency 1 was yet to be declared, results announced so far showed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won 25 out of the available 26 seats in the Saturday State House of Assembly poll in Ekiti State.

The election at Ekiti East Constituency1, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was declared inconclusive because of the disruptions that marred the process at four of the polling units of the constituency.

The commission in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Taiwo Gbadegeshin on Sunday gave the polling units as Aya Alafe street,  Teledalase PU 003;  Late Oloda’s frontage PU 006, Baba Egbe’s house Polling Unit 008 and Beside Baba Egbe’s house Polling Unit 009.

The electoral body appreciated the cooperation of all stakeholders in ensuring peaceful conduct of the polls.

It also commended the people of the state for their peaceful conduct before, during and after the elections.
