Nigerian boxer Efe Ajagba on Saturday, March 9, continued his impressive career performance in boxing after beating veteran Amir Mansour in just Two Rounds in California. It was an awesome display by Efe Ajagba who has been unbeaten since turning professional in July 2017. The 24-year-old boxer put Mansour down twice in the first round and battered him relentlessly in the second duel. Ajagba’s heavy punches however forced 46-year-old American boxer Amir Mansour to quit after being beaten mercilessly in the first Two Rounds.
Efe has now improved his record in the division to 9-0 (8 KO) with a second round knockout victory against Amir Mansour (23-4-1, 16 KO). “I want to be the best heavyweight in the world. That’s my dream.” Efe Ajagba said after the fight. Born on 22 April, 1994 in Ughelli, Delta State, Efe Ajagba actually started his career as a footballer in 2005 before he quit and joined boxing in 2011.
He had a rough background while growing up in Delta state as Efe Ajagba used to work in a bakery and would later go for training after closing at work. In 2016, Ajagba won the gold medal for Nigeria in the super heavyweight event at the African Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament held in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
The 31-year-old achieved this success in Las Vegas when he defeated defending champion Tyron Woodley for five rounds to become the new champion.
