Madonna Varsity Alumni Defend Awards For Members

Madonna University Alumni Association FCT chapter (MUAAFCT) has given reasons for recognising some Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their fields of endeavours.

The chapter chairman, Mr. John Anyanwu, spoke during the presentation of awards to the founder and chief executive officer of NISA Premier Hospital, Dr. Ibrahim Wada and the first MUAAFCT president and ex-officio, Mr. Henryval Osemeke, in Abuja.

The duo clinched the “Employer of the Year Award” and “Ex-Officio Award” respectively for their services to humanity and the Nigerian society.

Osemeke was recognised for his selfless service and contributions to the growth of the association since its inception in 2008.

Osemeke, who is president emeritus and a founding member of the alumni association, was elected as the first executive president of MUAAFCT for a term of three years and was returned unopposed for another term.

Earlier, Anyanwu said that the association comprises young and talented graduates of Madonna University, who came together to seek ways of assisting one another in common progress.

He said that they are ambassadors of the alma mater and project the discipline that was instilled into them in the school, adding that their aim is to find ways to help each other on a common and united manner both now and in the long-run.
