PMB Committed To Bayelsa Infrastructural Development – APC Chieftain

A member of the President Muhammad Buhari campaign Council, Prince Preye Aganaba yesterday reiterated that President Muhammad Buhari is committed to the infrastructural development in Bayelsa State.

Hon. Preye Aganaba will reward the people of the Bayelsa and other states of the region for their show of confidence in his administration during the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections.

According to Prince Aganaba, the show of commitment by President Muhammad Buhari towards the state is renewed by the people of the State with President Muhammad Buhari securing over 40 per cent votes during the last election is a sign that more projects and appointment will come to the state.

Prince Preye Aganaba, who is a chieftain of the APC from Odi community in Kolokuma/Opokuma local Government area, told newsmen yesterday that the commitment shown will not go unrewarded,” President Buhari has the interest of the people of Bayelsa and others at heart. He will do more for us as a people. ”

“We have many projects ongoing and some awaiting Federal Executive approvals. We have six shore protection jobs, canalisation of Yenagoa, building of schools and hospitals. Even those of us that are stakeholders within the party will do more to bring projects to the state. ”

“For me, I have brought about five projects to the state Shore line protection projects to IDK and other area with some awaiting Federal Executive council approval. Stakeholders in the party should step up and bring projects for the region. I don’t see President Buhari saying “No” to legitimate request from Bayelsa.”

He also noted that with the appointment of an indigene of Bayelsa as Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), the state will soon witness massive development under President Buhari.

On the issue of federal appointments, Prince Aganaba, said though many party members were disgruntled over the appointments made in the last four years, “maybe it is due to the fact that the opposition took over power and there were lots of confusion. Most party members were not considered. But with President Buhari having a sure footing now, I don’t think such confusion will happen again. ”

Aganaba also assured the people of the region on the quick completion of the East -West road project insisting that President Muhammad Buhari has resolved the issues of poor funding and project management delaying the project.

According to Aganaba, President Buhari has ordered that the quick funding for the project be moved to the sovereign wealth fund office, while the management of the project will be handled by the Ministry of the Niger Delta Affairs, ” I don’t see the road delaying for another one year before completion”
