For her tireless work, fighting for girls education across the African continent since the age of ten, and her strong advocacy, speaking with 29 world leaders across Europe, Africa and the Americas about creating policies that ensures girls are in school till at least the age of 18, the Nelson Mandela foundation has honored 16 year old Los Angeles film maker with a special invitation in Johannesburg – South Africa.

It was also an opportunity for the young film maker to share her most recent work and story of Mr Mandela’s life, via a centenary tribute, in a short 7 minute ‘childlike’ documentary. VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQn1iFB7OAA

She was given a private tour of President Nelson Mandela’s last office after his retirement, the permanent exhibits on the former leaders life, and the foundations private archives on Presidents journey over the last 60 years – a treasure throve of irreplaceable documents, materials, writings and publications on the life of the South African and global peace icon.

The Nelson Mandela foundation among other things, works to continue the mission and vision of its founder, predicated on justice and freedom for all mankind.
