Rivers: Group Accuses Abe Of Plot To Destroy APC

A good governance advocacy group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, the Rivers Unity House (RUH) has accused the senator representing Rivers South-East district in the National Assembly, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, of working to destroy the party in the state.
RUH, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt Thursday by its Convener, Kingsley Wenenda Wali, urged Abe to stop blaming the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, for his inability to be governor of the state.
The statement reads in part: “The recent outbursts of Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, undoubtedly has the potential of awakening the nation, assuming they were not in full realization, that Senator Magnus Abe, in conjunction with elements outside the party is, desperately, working to destroy the party.
“He has hunted after this objective with a step as steady as time, and an appetite as keen as death.
“Senator Magnus Abe long ago decided to swim against the tide in a futile attempt to become the Governor of Rivers State against the advice given to him from the leadership of his party in the state.
“Today that dream has gone up in smoke but instead of accepting what his actions has brought him, he has gone on to assume that his joy ride was cut short by the Minister of Transportation, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi in connivance with the Supreme Court.
“This is in conjunction with the recent vicious attacks on the Supreme Court by His collaborators in the camp of the governor of Rivers State, Chief Ezebunwo Wike.
“What Senator Magnus Abe and his group are struggling to suggest here, is that Amaechi is the architect of impending confusion and crisis that only exist in their script, and, that the Minister of Transportation is engaged in a curious conspiracy to subvert the will and custom of our apex court.
“Meaning that the impulse of our justice system is now guided by the desires and aspirations of one man; and that Amaechi, miraculously, has impaired the percipience of our justices of the Supreme Court.”
