The Kaduna State Government has appointed two of its officials to new roles within the administration.
In a statement signed by Samuel Aruwan, governor Nasir El-Rufai’s spokesperson, Muhammad Hafiz Bayero, current Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Relations, is moving to a new role as Managing Director of the Kaduna Markets Development Company.
The statement said, Hadiza Usman Muazu, who has just completed a stint as Chairman of the Interim Management Committee of Jaba Local Government Council, is appointed Special Adviser, Intergovernmental Relations.
The statement said that the Governor has approved the appointments, expressing his confidence that the officials will in their new roles continue to deliver the performance levels expected of them.
According to the statement: ” Prior to her service in Jaba local government council, Hadiza Usman Muazu was Senior Special Assistant, Intergovernmental Relations. She holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Westminster and has worked in the in the private and public sectors.
As Special Adviser, Inter-Governmental Relations, Hafiz has revolutionised the Kaduna State liaison office in Abuja. Since his appointment in July 2018, Hafiz has enhanced the capacity of the liaison office to offer services to citizens and for maintaining the Kaduna State Government’s relations with other arms of government, investors and development partners.
“Hafiz joined the government in June 2015 as Special Assistant-Job Creation, and waspart of the founding team of the Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency (KADIPA). He combined his duties as Head of Investor Relations in KADIPA with his Job Creation portfolio, through which he helped to introduce initiatives for youth employment like the Kaduna Start-up Entrepreneurship Programme (KADSTEP) which has benefitted 2500 graduates”
“He also championed the revitalisation of the state’s business apprenticeship training centres. He was also part of the KADIPA team that has successfully driven the Kaduna State Government’s acclaimed strides in Ease of Doing Business, attracting investors, and organising the showcase Kaduna Economic and Investment Summit (KADInvest).
“Muhammad Hafiz Bayero holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Aston in Birmingham, England. He also has an M.Sc. in Process Engineering and Business from the University of Warwick.
Hafiz was a member of the 2019 Kaduna State APC Campaign Council and is now serving as a member of the Transition Committee. During the 2014-2015 campaign period, Hafiz was the Administrative Secretary of the Steering Committee of Malam Nasir El-Rufai’s Gubernatorial Campaign Organization and was on the 2015 Transition Committee” the statement said.
