The menace of Yahoo boys has continued to be a challenge to the Nigerians populace. From pants to bras and now, we heard they have delved into used pads and shorts from women. Many have died because of these guys who want to buy Porsche cars and build mansions.

The past week witnessed various events in the entertainment industry now shaping popular opinion today. One of it is about the Live Instagram video Simi did over the weekend where she condemned internet fraudsters (Yahoo boys) and also told them not to be patrons of her craft.

“Do you know how many Nigerians go for business meetings or just to even get the smallest opportunity for themselves to make it and they leave with nothing because they’re Nigerians, that is the only excuse that they get. “sorry we cannot work with Nigerians.”

The issue has since been escalated on social media as it has been drawing mixed reactions from fans and celebrities and one of them his singer Samklef.

Samklef believes that the artiste should focus her attention on other issues of national importance than accusing those who are the payers of the shows she attends and the money she gets from it.

‘I’m not supporting fraud but is that the only problem we have.

“Nigerian artistes won’t talk about bad governance, killing of innocent lives. If the system was ok, all these won’t be happening. Fake attention,” he said.

Also MI Abaga reacted on the issue surrounding Simi and the criticism of internet fraudsters.

He took to his Instagram page to posit that in as much as internet fraud isn’t a good job to take up, people indulging in it should not be attacked as the situation of the country is what has pushed them into it.

He said the energy used in condemning and criticizing the boys that indulge in “yahoo yahoo” should instead be used in voting out the leaders of this country who have made life difficult for the ordinary citizen.

He also pointed out that this same energy should be used to speak against people that orchestrate bad governance in Nigeria so that every young person would be able to survive as a result of following the right path and taking up jobs that is synonymous with “righteousness.”

Well…no matter what they say , Yahoo Boys are not good influence to anybody even if they are the payers and influencers of their shows.
