According to him, “The acts, not only have an effect on our property but also the ecosystem as it gradually build into the atmosphere thus leading to climate change. We are saying that activities of bush burning are wrong. ”
He said, “It is not even allowed. If we must have a bush burning practice, then it must be Controlled bush burning where you make sure that the area is localised.”
The Director of the FCT Fire Service, Assistant Controller General (ACG), Julius Opetunsin while urging farming community, traditional fathers and their subjects to desist from indiscriminate bush burning, said the reason for the sensitization is based on the fact that, fire outbreaks is still one of the leading disasters facing us.
