Fidelity Bank Plc has concluded its Get Alert in Millions Season three (GAIM3) promo having given out a total of N115.26 million in cash wins and 108 consolation prizes to its customers in the eight month long promo.
A total of N110 million had been won by 77 customers who won in various levels of N1 million, N2 million, N3 million and a grand prize of N10 million while N5.26 million worth of airtime had been given to 3,803 customers as instant rewards for opening accounts.
Also, 108 consolation prizes of television sets, refrigerators and generators had been won by customers of the bank during the promo which began in October last year. The grand prize of N10 million had been won by a Port Harcourt based seaman, Mr John Silus Poubo, at the grand draw held last week.
Speaking at the draw, deputy managing director of the bank, Mr Mohammed Balarabe noted that the promo is in line with its drive for financial inclusion particularly in the rural areas adding that the promo was also designed to empower its customers.
Balarabe, stating that the goal of the bank had been met by the promo, explained that the ultimate desire of the bank was to inculcate the savings culture in the people to strengthen economic development.
“Our desire at the end of the day is that we want to get people to inculcate this culture of savings, because that is what brings about economic development in the country. At the individual level, it is a way to get people to save toward the rainy day; as that rainy day can come anytime,” he said.
Balarabe furthered that the bank plans to continue with the promo which he said has helped “bring more people into the financial system for the overall economic growth of the nation.”
On her part, Fidelity Bank’s executive director, Shared Services and Product, Mrs Chijioke Ugochukwu, said the promotion was initiated to the promote savings culture among its customers. “Gaim 3 has been an exciting journey. It was filled with a lot of innovations from Fidelity Bank and in addition to that it was filled with several initiatives, including our instant weekly rewards,” Okonkwo stated.
