Brutai Commission Staff Quarters At Army Versity In Biu

In line with its commitment to continually enhance the welfare of its personnel for effective and efficient service delivery, the Chief of Army staff Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, on Tuesday Commissioned 20 set of 3 bedrooms bungalow for intermediary  staff at the Nigeria Army University Biu in Borno state.

 

Speaking during the commissioning, Brutai said the  staff quarters which was well furnished with sound air conditions is one of the best in the country.

 

According to him the project was geared towards enhancing the welfare of personnel to enable them focus on their duties and contribute more meaningfully in adding value to the University.

 

While thanking President Muhammadu Buhari for the support in establishing the  Army University in Biu, he disclosed that there are many on going projects in the institution being constructed by corporate organizations and some philanthropist

 

The COAS then noted that the Varsity has been effective since the ground breaking ceremony and commissioning on the 30th October 2018.

 

Earlier in his welcome address, the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor David Iliya Malgwi, expressed appreciation to the  COAS and chairman transitional governing council for their tremendous strive towards the smooth running of the institution by providing vehicles that have constantly eased commuting of staff and students of NAUB.

 

According to him, the newly commissioned project would further reduce the burden of accommodation in the University.

 

“It will also interest you to know that beyond providing a beautiful edifice to accommodate Nigeria Army university Biu staff, the COAS has ensured that the best of furniture and equipment are installed in these  houses for comfortability of staff.” He noted.

 

He then urged the beneficiaries of the accommodation after to crown the efforts of the COAS by ensuring the doctrine of good maintenance culture.
