Prospective Corps Members have been warned that anyone caught with fake documents during the registration process in the camp would be handed over to the law enforcement agents.
NYSC director-general, Brig-Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim, gave this warning while monitoring the registration procedure of prospective Corps Members deployed to FCT and Nasarawa State for 2019 Batch “B” Stream One Service year in their separate Orientation Camps, yesterday.
He said that NYSC management has put in place adequate machineries to clamp down and prosecute anyone caught.
According to a press statement made available to LEADERSHIP by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi, Ibrahim advised them to be security conscious and embrace the skills acquisition programme of the scheme to become self-empowered and wealth creators.
The NYSC boss admonished them to obey the NYSC bye-laws, be patriotic to the ideals of NYSC Scheme and be of good conduct during and after their orientation exercise.
Meanwhile, the DG during the visits also monitored the distribution of kits to Corps Members and inspected Corps members’ hostels, camp clinics, kitchen, sporting facilities and among others.
